I'm Back

Ok so I know it's been a while but I really HAVEN'T fallen off the face of the earth...I've just been a wee bit too busy with musical rehearsal, the shows for the musical, district music festival, and trying to get caught up after the shows last weekend. I promise to have a new vlog up some time this week....I'll definitely have more time now that I don't have anything too do this week after school (except for voice and cello lessons).

BTW voice lessons for me, cello lessons being taught by me

Anyway....I finally have time to take a breather lately :-) I kind of miss play practice, but then I remember how much homework I may or may not have skipped the last three weeks...fortunately most of the teachers are either offering extra credit or a lot more class work to help boost grades...I know how to do everything, it's just a matter of actually doing it!

Well I'll give the full update in vlog form this week!

Love you all!!

Yes I'm Still Here!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I know it's been a while since I last posted a vlog or a blog but I've been crazy busy with the musical. We're heading into the last few days before the show so this week is going to be the most crazy yet. We've go rehearsal everyday from 4:00 to whenever we either show the director what she wants, pass out, or die. I'm not sure what will come first personally....although it'll probably be the passing out. I'm incharge of 19 sixth graders everyday this week too. I was talking to my director the other day while we were setting out props before rehearsal and I said "I just realized that I don't have any props to take care of" & she said "No, you've just got 19 sixth graders to keep inline!" It was funny but it was probably one of those "you had to be there" moments...I tend to have those a lot by the way.

In other news....I've become totally addicted to A Very Potter Musical! After months of my friends trying to get me to watch it on YouTube, I finally took the time to watch it. It is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! I'm totally in love with every member of that cast - particularly Darren Criss and Joe Walker ;-)

Their musical - coupled with the fact that I won't be able to do the school musical with my friends next year due to the fact that I'm graduating in a matter of two months - has inspired my best friend and I to write our own. We're really excited but we don't really have time to work on it until Joseph's over this week.

Well I need to actually try to get out of bed before I have to go to rehearsal later!

Love you all,
Carrie

Dancing!!!!!! weeeeeeeeee I'm DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so obviously this isn't going to be quite as exciting as me actually dancing in a video for you all (although if my friends have anything to say about it you might see one someday), but there is a bit of "background dancing" for this blog - kind of...
.........ANYWAY.........
This week we have a "dance intensive" for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat...may I just say that I'm reasonably certain Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber may have been on a little bit of something when he wrote it (pretty far from Phantom of the Opera)....oh good golly if I'm counting correctly (which I'm probably not seeing as how it's 10:23 @ night) this is the 3rd time I've wandered off topic!!!

So yeah, we have our lovely dance intensive this week which translates into "you're coming to school at 7 A.M. being a good kid & helping out w/ the 6th grade choir through your dinner break, & not leaving school until 9-9:30 P.M." This is how I've been spending my time this week...not overly eventful...however there are disgusting golden cow heads involved (but I don't want to talk about it).

Fortunately today was a FANTASTIC improvement....my friend Matt (who is my dance partner for one of the songs) got done w/ what he was supposed to be doing a bit early & he went & got 4 of us ICE CREAM!!!!! I know what you're thinking, "oh it's sooooooo cold out how can you possibly eat ice cream when it's winter in Montana???????" (yes folks it really still is winter in MT) but let me tell you it was WONDERFUL!!!!!! I don't think I've ever been this excited about ice cream in my entire life but it made my evening a bit more bearable....by the way Matt if you ever read this I'm really REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry about stepping on your toes & jumping before you were ready to catch me today!!!!!!!

so yeah that's what's been going on this week...I'll keep you all posted on how rehearsals are going!!!!!

I love you all!!!

hmmmmmmm

Hey everybody!!!!
So I've been super busy this week with the school play/voice lessons/teaching cello lessons. I'd like to say I have a really good story to tell, but that would be a lie...I'll just do my best to tell you all what's been going on recently.

My school's basketball teams (boys & girls) are both at their respective state tournaments today and tomorrow. As a result, my senior class of 84 students today had a grand total of 42 in attendance. Talk about a long & seemingly pointless day! 1st period we took notes, 2nd period I watched Marie Antoinette (the one with Kirsten Dunst) on my computer, 3rd period I went to the museum, 4th period I ran an errand for my choir teacher over to my dad's office, 5th period we watched Blood Diamond (can I just say that I totally LOVE Leo DiCaprio????), 6th period we took notes, and 7th period we watched P.S. I Love You. If I hadn't missed an entire week two weeks ago I would definitely skip, but alas I can't. Tomorrow should be more of the same. Study hall 1st & 2nd (which translates into I better bring some dvds), 3rd is over to the museum, 4th I'm practicing my solo for our district music festival next month, 5th probably Slumdog Millionaire, 6th Wii combined w/ Risk (such a lovely combination :-D), & 7th more movies!!!!! & this is the shining example of my parents' tuition money hard at work...Actually I can't really blame the school or the teachers. We really can't just call it quits for a couple of days unless we wanted to add onto the school year (which I guarantee no one wants to do!).

In other news...I've become completely & hopelessly addicted to Army Wives. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! I mostly started watching it because we were watching The Ultimate Gift in my religion class & I wanted to see something else with Drew Fuller in it. Well now I'm officially hooked. I've watched all of the 1st season and most of the 2nd season in just a couple of days!!!!!!! (although I have to admit I should probably spend that time working on homework).

Well that's about it...I'll post another video soon...I PROMISE!!!!!!!! (working on it tomorrow night for the record)

I love you all!

Helena Part I

Hey so guess what!!!!! Yeah that's right I managed to finish a vlog for you lovely people tonight! I'm really excited mostly because it's been a while since I last posted one as I already mentioned in my last post earlier this evening...other than today & random days when I have nothing (& I do mean NOTHING) to do the posts should not be more than one a day if that.

Ok now that I've explained that, I think I'll explain the video a little bit. The wonderful young people in this are the people that I worked with while I was acting as a page for the Legislature. Tyler was our one and only boy who didn't talk very much at the beginning of the week but by the end he was coming up with some great one liners :-) He was also the youngest in the group - our lone sophomore. We had one junior & the rest of us were seniors. It was a fantastic trip & I wholeheartedly wish I could do it again, but alas I will have graduated before the next session and they only let teenagers in high school participate :-(

Thank you again for your patience!!!!! I love you all!

Lack of Vlogging!

To anyone who regularly watches my vlogs...I'm eternally sorry that I haven't had a chance to post one since...oh let's see...since about January 26th. I promise there really REALLY REALLY REALLY is one in the making! Between being sick, play practice every night, having so much homework that the biggest bookworm would be stressed (although I just might actually be that bookworm), and being gone for a week being a Page for the Montana House of Representatives, I've had enough time to film a wee bit here and there, but no time to actually edit it into a movie...I promise there will be a new video within the next week. I've got tomorrow (President's Day) out of school so I should have a little time before I have to find a Go Go outfit for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and go to rehearsal. I'm hoping to have one up tomorrow...if not I will continue to feel bad & I might do something about it someday in the near future.

Well those are all of the excuses I have for now!
